Interested in animals why not visit a zoo, aquarium or Sea Life centre where you can discover lots of different species.
Like walking and getting out in the countryside there are many great national parks to visit here in the Midlands we have the Cotswolds, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock, Sherwood Forest on our doorstep. If you are not looking to go on a ramble why not visit local parks. We all have these on our doorstep how many times have we been to them?

Hire a canal boat for the day – if there is a group of you split the cost and it can be a fun and inexpensive day out. There are also river boat trips or in Stratford on Avon you can go on a gondola ride down the Avon.
